Garnier Moisture match - Wake Me Up Revitalising Hydrating Gel

Hi Guys and Gals! How are we all? I'm fine, thanks for asking :D So today i'm going to talk to you about Garnnier Moisture Match - Wake Me Up Revitalising Hydrating Gel, Gosh that's a mouthful! So As you may or may not be aware this product is part of a new skin care line from Garnier. The moisture match line features 5 different face lotions for 5 different skin types. Each lotion also features a different texture to really help provide a tailor made match to your skin. Let me first say what a fantastic idea this is. I know sometimes you walk down the skin care isles and think, where do i start? Finding skin care that is right for your skin type and skin concerns can be a real task at times, so a big thank you to garnier for making it a little easier for us all!

I picked up the moisture match lotion aimed at dull skin a few months ago at Tesco on the introductory offer for £3.99. I was super excited to try this revitalising skin tonic as i was looking for a nice light day cream that wouldn't skimp on the moisture. This hydrating gel is fab! It glides onto skin perfectly and a little really does go a long way. The subtle, fresh and fruity scent is what made me fall in love with this product, it really does help to wake up both you and your skin in the morning! I get so sick of face creams that have a luxurious texture but turn out to be what i call " empty creams ". By this i mean it feels like the product will do good but when you apply it your just left with no difference to your skin at all! This product however is beautifully hydrating, you get the feeling your skin is having a big drink but without the heaviness of a thick cream! So all in all i think this product is fab. If your looking for a good skin pick me up for parched lacklustre skin this is the one for you. I do believe that the full price of this product is now £5.99 but it is normally always on offer somewhere, so have a good look around before you buy to get the best deal! Thanks for reading and i will blog to you all soon!

Soap And Glory - Scrub Your Nose In It!

Hi guys and gals. Today i am going to tell you about a fabulous multi tasking scrub and mask marvel! Now i am a really big fan of soap and glory and have been for quite a while. I love their quirky packaging, innovative ideas and super scented products. I do find their products to be very effective and they do normally live up to their promises. So here's how i got on with the S & G Scrub Your Nose In It.

So this wonder scrub promises to help refine pores and prevent blemishes. It also offers to give brighter and more radiant skin with its " Special fruit acid formula". Now this product i have been using for agessssssss! I have re purchased this multiple times because i know i can trust it. When I'm having a bad skin day and i need results this always delivers. At first when you squeeze this product out you meet a green clay like goop, odd looking, but Soap and Glory aren't known for making average looking products. The smell is like a fruity mint mixture, It is very fresh and really invigorates your skin. I use this scrub when my skin is run down with blemishes, excess oil, dullness and all round yuckyness! The instructions say to work a pea sized dollop into the t zone then to work it out to the rest of the face, then you can leave it on as a five minuet mask. I find it most effective if you do the exact opposite. I apply it onto dry, clean skin and cover the whole face. I leave it on for 10 - 15 minuets. I then dampen it down and give my face a good scrub. The results from this product are fantastic. Clean feeling, clear, fresh and radiant skin! So if you are looking for a good value multi tasking product then i suggest you give it a go! You can find this product in most boots stores for £7.50. I did notice that they recently changed the packaging to a white box now instead of the pink tube on its own so keep your eyes out for that. Don't forget to give me a tweet and let me know how you get on! Thanks for reading and i will blog to you all soon!

Get fresh with Dove!

Hi guys and gals! Today I'm going to tell you about another Dove beauty treat. As you can probably tell by now I'm a big fan of Dove and all that their brand stands for! When i saw one of their new Dove go fresh body lotions on offer for £1.99 i just had to have it! You've probably seen the Dove go fresh shower gels, well they now do go fresh  body lotions to match! So now not only can you get super Dove moisturising powers but you can get fresh at the same time! Also this will now allow you to layer the fragrance with the deodorant, shower cream and lotion!

I tried the Dove go fresh nourishing lotion with the cucumber and green tea scent and ohhh is that fresh! As you would expect this lotion will leave your skin super soft and glowing with soft skin that lasts! However there is a twist to this lotion that i was not aware of until i used it. I applied this after my shower as usual, but as i began to rub it in i got this super cool sensation to my skin! At first it freaked me out, i thought i cant possibly be having a reaction to this product? I checked the back of the bottle and realised it also contained menthol, so you get that super cool tingle like what you get from the original source mint shower gel. So there we have it, I've discovered another must have summer essential, so now you can moisturise your skin on these hot days with no bother at all. Thanks for reading everyone and i will blog to you all soon!

THE GLOSSY BOX HAS ARRIVED!!!

Hi guys and gals! I bring to you today my most exciting post so far. Do you remember the Glossy Box i was all excited over a few posts ago? Well.............ITS HERE!!!!!!!!!! Now if you are still unsure as to what a glossy box is don't worry, i will not be skimping on any details in this post. I cannot tell you how excited i am that it has arrived, a beautiful box of products waiting for me to try! I suppose i better explain as to what glossy box is, basically its an essential for any beauty lover. Glossy box is a beauty subscription. for £10 a month plus £2.95 p&p you receive a mixture of five luxury size samples and full size beauty products! Exited? I thought you might be! So i will now reveal all on how i got on with my first ever Glossy Box.

First of all let me show you some pictures of the grand opening. This months box i do believe is a limited edition design, normally from what i have seen you get a black shiny box with the Glossy Box logo embossed on it! As you will see the box itself is a treat to the eyes. Let me say this isn't a flimsy, thin box either, it is made of a thick cardboard and is ideal for storing your beauty treats on or saving and re using for a birthday or Christmas present! The products come wrapped in tissue paper with a pretty ribbon to finish off the look! You also receive a little card welcoming you to Glossy box and a leaflet giving full details of all the products inside.Anyway enough of the box, i know your all dieing to know whats inside!

This months beauty treats are all summer themed, so we have a nice mix of skin and hair care products. Now we have from left to right........ Alterna Bamboo Style boho Waves Tousled Texture Mist 25 ml, Coola Mineral Face Spf 20 Essance Tint 7 ml, Caite London Paint Pot (Shade - The Gossip) 13.5ml, Anatomicals Spray Misty For Me Facial Spritz 100 ml and Inecto Pure Coconut Refreshing Dry Shampoo 150 ml.

So what an exciting bunch of products we have on our hands here! Now the Ciate polish, Anatomicals face mist and Inecto dry shampoo are all full sizes, Winner! I have done the maths for you and worked out that in total these products bought separately would cost £26.19, can anyone see the saving there? Not only does this box satisfy my need for beauty but also my need for bargains. Fabulous!

So me and mum couldn't wait to give some of these a try, I've let my mum have the Ciate polish and the Alterna texture mist. I did offer her the dry shampoo but she's not a fan of coconut so this product i will give to a friend as a little treat. We gave the Texture mist a go and wow, this is a cracker! I spritzed mums locks a few times and worked it from root to tip. This product is great for mum as she's always looking for something to give her volume and shine and this totally did the trick. With the handy little size it will be ideal for her to keep in her bag for touch ups and will be great for her to take on holiday. Its safe to say shes happy with this little gem. We are saving the Ciate polish for next week where i will do her nails because I'm such a good son! She is going on holiday as i mention so this will be fabulous for adding a touch of glamour to her look and the deep coral shade is so on trend right now!

I tried the Coola Mineral face tint first then gave my skin a nice refreshing spritz with the Anatomicals product. The skin tint is great for a few reasons. It is a lovely light texture that is totally none greasy and adds a subtle hint of colour and a little coverage. It has a lovely fruity/Floral scent witch consists mainly of Acai berry oil and Evening primrose oil. The Acai exstract promises powerful anti ageing benefits helps to reduce inflammation and balance moisture levels. Now looking at the benefits of this product is anyone thinking this may be an ideal holiday make up item! Sun and skin care mixed with an spf 20, what a fantastic multi-tasker this is! The Anatomicals face mist is super refreshing! It leaves your skin super cool and hydrated, it also delivers a gorgeous dewy glow. I think this product is a handbag essential, not only for cooling down and re hydrating the skin throughout the day but also to set any make up products as a finishing touch!

So there we have it, my first ever Glossy box has been a total success. What a fantastic idea it is and such great value for money. I can honestly say i think this is one of the greatest beauty finds i've ever had! So if you can spare yourself the subscription each month then i strongly suggest you go for this, i am sure all you beauty lovers will not disappointed. I am just left with one questions however, IS IT AUGUST YET?!?! I hope you all enjoyed this post and don't forget i am now on twitter (@IANIETUBE). Feel free to drop me a tweet and let me know how you get on if you decide to treat yourself to this beauty marvel! You can also follow me on twitter so you can keep up to date with my latest posts. I will blog to you all soon, Ian x

NSPA! SPA AT HOME FOR £10!!! IM ON THAT!

Hey guys and gals, here i am with another post on some recently purchased beauty goodies, yes I've been stocking up yet again! I decided on this shopping visit i wanted a spa experience, but without the spa price tag! I ended up with an NSPA trio, here's how i got on!

I absolutely love spa products! That 10 minuets in the shower where you can pamper yourself and let all your troubles melt away, total bliss. Sometimes however these lush spa products come with a lush price. Not NSPA however, the four products i bought came to £10, witch i thought was a decent deal, i got two lots of the 2 for £5 deal! I picked treats from the NSPA bathing rituals range, eucalyptus and sea minerals. I quite like the idea of these bathing rituals as they come labelled with steps 1 2 and 3 witch makes it super easy to follow for body care beginners! Fabulous!

The first product i tried was the reviving shower and body wash. I quite liked this, was a bit iffy at first, hoping that it wouldn't dry my skin like so many other shower gels. It did the opposite in face, lovely lather and some light skin conditioning! The scent is so lovely and fresh and i did find it quite relaxing! It comes in a rather generous size of 250ml, witch should give you a good few showers me thinks!

Next up in the ritual is the sea salt scrub. It comes in a 300ml tub, the packaging of which reminds me of Molton Brown products. The texture of this scrub is quite gloopy compared to other sea salt scrubs I've tried, usually they re pretty solid and you need to take a chisel to get any of the scrub out. Its a lovely blend of sea salt and some luxurious oils that really helped soften my skin as i scrubbed away any pesky dry bits! With it being a salt scrub i often find they work best on barley damp skin as the salt dissolves rather quickly if your skins soaking wet, so make sure you swipe off any excess water before using this scrub so you can feel the full effect. The scrub i found to be quite gentle but was sufficient for a light polishing off! It did leave my skin with a lovely glow and revved up the circulation a little too! Bonus!

Finally after rinsing the scrub off and getting out the shower i completed the ritual with the cooling body tonic. The tonic comes in a great little 250ml pump bottle, much easier than trying to squeeze lotion out of a tube! This product was the one that caught my eye on the shelf first of all as i loved the sound of a nice cooling treat, especially in this current weather. I applied it to my skin whilst it was still a bit damp as im always cautious when using a new body lotion, i have a fear of being left in a sticky mess! This lotion was great, my skin drank it up nicely and it did have a slight cooling effect too. I think it would e fab if you leave it in the fridge for a bit before using and would be ideal as an after sun! This product i think i will repurchase as its just fab as a light summer moisturiser.

The result of using the three products together has left me with soft glowy fresh feeling and smelling skin! These products all claim to have a detoxifying effect and i think they do to some degree, my skin does look a little brighter and more even. So although these products haven't made it to my super favourite pile, i feel for the price they were a great little treat! It was nice just to have a little pamper session as my skin has been neglected, sorry to mention the weather again but for me its just been to hot to use any kind of rich pampering products, apart from when it was cool enough at the weekend for me to use my Dove goodies!

So there we have it, id say a successful attempt at creating a mini spa experience at home. Although i didn't go the whole way and get the candles, champers and relaxing music i still had fun! Let me know how you lot get on if you try these out! Thanks for reading and i will to you all soon, Ian x

A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS!

Hi guys and gals! As well as beauty products i also have a few other things that i like! So in this post i thought i would cover a few items that i love in my life!

So first of all is my google nexus 7! I love it to bits. It was a present i received from my boyfriend last Christmas and it was a total surprise. I had gone on and on about the nexus 7 since he had brought one home from work to try. After five minuets of playing i was obsessed with it, i didn't want to let it go back! So as Christmas was approaching i thought i would drop a few hints to the boyf, and some more, and more, and more. I was repeatedly told i wouldn't be getting one for Christmas, i was gutted to say the least. Christmas days comes and there was a little box waiting for me under the tree, and there it was, the now named Norman nexus! I am a total android fan so this was a great addition to my gadget collection! I do notice however a new nexus 7 has been released, now with a better screen and a camera on, amongst other things ofcource, well Christmas is only 5 months away! I shall start dropping the hints!

Next up is my lovely little car, and when i say little i mean its teeny weeny! I passed my driving test 8 months ago, it only took me five years! Any hoo, after driving my red suzuki swift for two weeks, i noticed a petrol leak! EEEEEKKKK! So i decided to go have a mooch at some new cars. I had my eye on a toyota iq ever since it came out, its super dinky and smart. There is a few good reasons why i think this car is brilliant! 1. It does 67mpg witch im sure saves me a packet on fuel, it currently costs £30 to fill the tank! 2. i pay no road tax! Due to its low emissions it is exempt from road tax, whooop! 3. It only has three seats, witch means less room for taxing people around! My lovely little toyota iq is called Shaniqua Spatuladora Anne Watts-Branning! A lot of people call her half a car, but for less the half the cost of running a normal car i think i can live with that!

Finally is a book that has helped me in life a lot. You may have heard of it, its called The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. Now a few years ago i was having a taught time, and things didn't seem to be going how i wanted, i was down in the dumps. This book was recommended by a friend at the time as she thought it would help me out, and she seemed to have great success with it. So i popped down to waterstones and gave it a go. Now I'm not a big reader of books, but this particular book i could not put down. I tried the techniques and tips in the book, and over time as i implemented these into my life things seemed to improve. Now weather this was a placebo effect from reading the book or it actually works i cant confirm. What i can confirm is that after reading i felt lifted, positive and ready to take on the world. I do to this day still follow the things i learned from this book, and feel i will take these with me throughout my life.  So anyone feeling they need a lift of a pick me up, i strongly recommend this book!

So that is that, a slightly different post this time but i hope you enjoyed it! At least now you know a little More about me and the things i love! Thanks for reading and i will blog to you soon! Ian x

IM NOW ON TWITTER!

PERFECT SKIN IN FIVE SECONDS? Garnier Perfect Blur!

Perfect skin in five seconds, this is what garnier are promising us with their new product, Perfect Blur. It claims to be able to blur wrinkles, imperfections, open pores and shine. Now that's a big promise from any product if you ask me, but here's how i got on as i tried this new wonder cream!

Firstly, i was very skeptical when this product first hit the shelves. I saw the advert on line and i was like, REALLY?!? As i roamed the isles of tesco for another treat to add to the collection i came across this product on offer for £8.88 for the 30 ml tube, it was a third off. So i took the plunge and went for it, and I'm soooooo  glad i did! I've just used this product after my shower because i just couldn't wait until tomorrow! The results of this product are amazing to say the least!

The texture is lovely, its like an air whipped mousse. It was so easy to apply! Normally with primers of this nature i find them too thick. They seem to drag on the skin and are not suitable for dry skin. This product however is the total opposite. It glides on beautifully and leaves skin silky soft and super smooth! There is no particular scent to this primer, or none that i noticed anyway, and that fine by me.

Next to the results! Wrinkles blurred? CHECK! Imperfections softened? CHECK! Open pores diminished? CHECK! Shine eliminated? CHECK! I am officially wowed! Finally a product that makes big promises and deliverers big results! And all this for under £10? Am i dreaming? The next big shock was when i stood in front of the boyfriend and said " Does my skin look any different?", without him having any knowledge of the product he pointed out the even skin tone and the reduction in shine. Now that is amazing, any product that gives results that even the dopiest manly man can notice deserves a medal in my eyes!

So to sum it up, no it doesn't fill in those deep wrinkles on my forehead, but no cosmetic product will! It does however lessen the appearance of them and has definitely made me feel less conscious about them. It has also smoothed the fine lines around my eyes, reduced redness on my cheeks and smooths out my large pores. The result that impresses me the most however is the matte effect. I have no idea how it does it but it reduces shine as you would know it from oiliness in the skin, but then your skin glows as if its been lit from within! Garnier have obviously put a lot of thought, time and effort into making this a winner! Guys, give it a go, I'm sure you will not be disappointed!

So that's me done for another post! I hope you enjoyed, please leave any comments below if you have any questions or i would also love to hear all your experiences with this product if you decide to give it a go! Thanks for reading and i will blog to you all soon! Ian x

WHAT I GOT FOR MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Hello guys and gals, as its recently been my birthday and i turned the grand old age of 24 i thought i would share with you the beauty treats i got from my friends family and boyf! I haven't tried all the products as of yet as some I'm saving for when the weather cools down, its too hot for super rich pampering products at the moment.

The first lot i got was a fabulous trio of soap and glory shower saviours as i call them, from mum and dad. I got the sugar crush shower gel, whipped clean shower butter and pulp friction body scrub. I'm totally excited to try the whipped clean shower butter as a body butter mixed with a shower cream is a new one on me! Personally i think its a fab idea and i love the idea of these "superdew spheres" that's its apparently packed with. The sugar crush shower gel smells beyond amazing, its a combination of lime, kiwi and sugar. Fittttt! Those of you who are soap and glory fans will notice this same scent from the sugar crush body scrub witch is another favourite of mine. And finally the pulp friction, its packed full of lovely scrubby bits and its also foams up too, so its a 2 in 1, what a great little time saver that will be. I haven't tried any of these yet but i totally cant wait to give them a go. Below is a little picture of my new shower pals!

Next up is a beautiful little gift set given to me by my friend Stevie. It is the champneys distant shores set! It contains mini sizes of the shower mousse, body butter, body scrub and bath float from this range. I have wanted this set for soooooooo long as the smell is just amazing, its like a tropical paradise in a tub! I'm mostly excited by the shower mousse, it comes in a little pump and provides instant foamy bubbles! Yay! We all love a good rich lather in the shower! The set also comes in a lovely vibrant pink box which i will be saving to keep bits and bobs in as its too good to throw away! Below is a picture of my mini pamper evening set.

CKONE!!!!! You gotta love it. That fresh clean scent. It is my all time favourite fragrance. Well here is this years summer edition courtesy of mum and dad. Its limited edition and its smells grrrrrrrrreat. Its a bit more masculine that the usual CKone but is still unisex so get on it girls! I wont go on too much as unfortunately my blog does not yet contain smellvision, but i thought it deserved a mention!

And finally some skin care. Instead of buying me some random things this year and ruining my life, my boyfriend decided to take me shopping and let me pick out what i wanted. This was a wise move as i am the fussiest cow on the planet, unless you are an identical clone of me then don't try! So off the the NO7 counter i popped, i had my eye out for some treats id seen in boots the week before. I picked 3 items from the new beautiful skin range witch were..... clean pore purifier, cleansing water for oily skin and pore vacuum mask. The clean pore purifier excited me to say the least, its a beauty gadget! Its a tube with a round head attached witch has little nibs that work as an exfoliating action. You twist the top to get some of the gel out, witch i think is some sort of mild acidic cleansing gel witch salicylic acid in, or something along those lines. You then work it into your t zone or any clogged areas and bam! Blackheads and large pores are deleted! Now doesn't that sound fab. The cleansing water is self explanatory, its a cleansing water aimed at oily skin. I have tried this one out, its refreshing, smells great and leaves you shine free, its a winner. The pore vacuum mask sounds rather interesting, its a clay based peel off mask that shrinks and cleans out pores, cant go wrong! Below is a snap shot of the face saving threesome!

So there we have it, as if i didn't have enough products already. It was my birthday though after all so if you cant be bought things you love but don't need on your birthday then when can you? Thanks to my friends and family for all the presissies and thanks to all you guys and gals for reading my new post, i will blog to you all soon! Ian x

TWO LITTLE DOVES!

Hi guys and gals! I just had to do a post on some fantastic little skin saviours i recently purchased on a mini haul in tescos of all places. I managed to pick up some old favourites that i haven't used in quite a while.

The reason i found myself down the beauty isle this time was because recently, due to this hot an sticky weather, I've been having a dry skin moment or two! I was looking for some bargains as always, and bargains were what i found.

The products i bought were as i say products id used before but forgot just how good they were. Both products are from one of my favourite brands, Dove. I love dove products for many reasons, the luxurious smells and textures, the prices and the satisfaction from knowing for me, any Dove product i buy will do as it says! I also love their ethos on real beauty and that their adverts contain real men and women! Fabulous!

The first product i picked up was the Dove creme mousse shower cream. I LOVE THIS! It lives up to all the reasons i gave above. Its creamy and nourishing, and is fantastically hydrating for a shower cream. I have noticed since Dove changed the packaging and introduced nutrium moisture, they are better than ever! I got this for the bargain price of £1.19 for a 200ml bottle. Its very concentrated and when used with a bath Lilly or scrunchy a little really does go a long way! Me being the beauty geek that i am loves a bargain, so for that price i stocked up with four of these little gems!

The next product i purchased was the Dove instant hydration nourishing lotion. Again this product is a star. I Love all dove lotions as i feel they "feed" my skin with lovely nourishment. This lotion is extra special as not only does it deeply nourish and moisturise skin, but it does it with a very light milky texture that glides on and sinks in so quick, making it a must have for parched summer skin! Again it smells lovely as do all the other dove products and leaves my skin with a healthy, radiant glow. This little trooper was a steal at £2.49 for the 400ml bottle! I love it! love love love love love itttt!

So as i write this blog, i sit here with super nourished, glowing, soft, healthy fab smelling skin! Products like this are the reason i adore high street brands as a total of £3.48 gives me super skin that makes Ianie super happy!

Thanks for reading and i will blog to you all very soon!
